To determine the best size, shape and color of dental postcard, we calculated it based on the card that produces the highest return on investment, (ROI). This is calculated by figuring in the amount of positive response from the postcard mailing and the total investment.

Smaller 4x6 postcards are by far the most affordable for printing and mailing. However, they don’t produce the highest response.
Larger 5.5x8.5 or even 6x11 cards are much larger and in your face, but are much more expensive to print and mail or even hand deliver. Odd sized postcards like 4.25x11 are great because they are very different but they can be much more expensive to process. For instance the attached postcards we just produced for Dr. Harper DDS cost us an additional 20 cents per piece because the USPS had to manually process the card.
When we calculate everything we find the following to be true time and time again:
1. When mailing to your existing patients, send a 4x6 postcard! If you use JustUs Dental Marketing to mail out 1000 4x6 dental cards to your patients it only costs $419!
