Dental Postcards DON’T WORK! Chiropractic Postcard don’t work either! I’ve talked to numerous dentists and chiropractors who have tried dental postcards and chiropractic postcards but don’t get new patients from them. So is it safe to say that effective dental marketing and chiropractic marketing should not include dental postcards or chiropractic postcards? For most of you NO YOU SHOULDN’T DO POSTCARDS because you don’t do them right!

Every doctor that I spoke with who does not get good results from dental or chiropractic postcards makes ___ deadly mistakes.

1. The card isn’t designed right! Typically the dentist or chiropractor wants to dictate how a postcard should be designed. This results in a card that attracts doctors not patients.

2. They are not consistent in their postcard mailings. Postcards require consistency, to mail out once or twice or to have huge gaps between mailings is going to result in minimal success.

What size of dental postcard to choose?

Dental Postcards come in all shapes, colors and sizes. How to choose the best….

To determine the best size, shape and color of dental postcard, we calculated it based on the card that produces the highest return on investment, (ROI). This is calculated by figuring in the amount of positive response from the postcard mailing and the total investment.

Our findings…. READ ON.

Smaller 4x6 postcards are by far the most affordable for printing and mailing. However, they don’t produce the highest response.

Larger 5.5x8.5 or even 6x11 cards are much larger and in your face, but are much more expensive to print and mail or even hand deliver. Odd sized postcards like 4.25x11 are great because they are very different but they can be much more expensive to process. For instance the attached postcards we just produced for Dr. Harper DDS cost us an additional 20 cents per piece because the USPS had to manually process the card.

When we calculate everything we find the following to be true time and time again:

Do you know the value of your phone? People spend more time on their phones now than ever before! So why don’t businesses recognize the power of the phone? Over 50% of people hang up when they receive a voicemail and they NEVER call back! SO… DON’T let them get your voicemail! Instead hire an answering service or have your staff rotate responsibility for after hours calls by having phones forwarded to a cell phone.

Just today I was in a dental office who has been fighting me on getting either an answering service or someone to answer the phones 24 hours per day.
